About Our Pack
We're thrilled that you're considering joining our Cub Scouts Pack 149 in Key Biscayne, Florida and embarking on a Scouting Adventure!
As parents, we understand the importance of ensuring that the groups our children join teach values consistent with good citizenship, character development, personal fitness, and leadership. These values are integral to the Scout Oath and Scout Law, which guide everything we do.
For over 100 years, Scouting continues to grow with approximately 54 million Scouts worldwide, spanning 216 countries. This includes about 2.5 million Scouts in the US and about 3 million in Latin America and the Caribbean.
All Scouts learn critical abilities such as problem-solving, leadership, and effective communication. From mastering first aid and indoor and outdoor survival techniques to community service, Scouting empowers young individuals to explore their potential, boosting their confidence and self-reliance.
Today, Scouting continues to innovate by adding new educational experiences that address modern challenges facing youth, such as cybersecurity, social media bullying, nutrition, and environmental stewardship. Together, these experiences build resilience and resourcefulness, equipping Scouts to tackle present and future challenges.
Cub Scouts Pack 149 offers an enriching experience that shapes character and guides youth toward becoming well-rounded, conscientious adults. Our dedicated team of parent volunteers actively participates in guiding the children’s Scouting journey. We emphasize the importance of parental involvement in all activities; therefore, we do not have Scout “drop-off” events.
To accommodate busy schedules, we meet every alternate Wednesday from 6:30pm – 7pm at the Lighthouse Room in the Key Biscayne Community Center.
For more information, we invite you to attend one of our meetings or visit www.beascout.org and enter zip code 33149 to join. It’s that simple!
